St. Dom's Drama Club
Coming Fall 2021!
The State of Maine continues to open and so does the opportunity to resume theater in schools. Director Kay Warren and Assistant Director Jackie Ahlquist are continuing their meetings this summer to plan the fall drama schedule. Upon confirmation that musicals can resume, workshops and auditions for Aladdin, Jr. will be scheduled and open to all current and new students in sixth through 12th grade. Information about the workshops and auditions will be communicated at the beginning of the new year. One-Act plays are being planned for the spring of 2022!

Model United Nations
Model United Nations is an activity for students in grades 9 - 12. Dates and times of meetings vary based on schedules, but typically do not get started in earnest until the winter months.

National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
Students are eligible for the National Honor Society if they meet a certain academic standing by the end of the first semester of their sophomore year. Once inducted, students provide service to the school in the form of peer tutoring.
If you have any questions, please contact co-Moderators Katie Dube at katherine.dube@portlanddiocese.org or Steve Shukie at stephen.shukie@portlanddiocese.org.
Student Ambassadors
The primary job of a Student Ambassador is to promote St. Dom's through hosting shadow days, giving tours, being present at admission events, and spreading the word outside the community about the benefits of a St. Dom's education. This program is available to students in grades 6 – 12. Students must apply to become a Student Ambassador.

Math Team
The Math Team practices once or twice every week in order to prepare for 5 meets throughout the school year and the state meet in May. At each of the regular season meets, St. Dom's competes against Pine Tree League schools. Teams and individual students are ranked. The state meet marks the conclusion of the regular season; students who have done exceptionally well may be invited to attend the New England meet. Students in grades 8 through 12 are invited to participate.

Robotics Club
The Robotics Club combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand", hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.
